Title: Dry weather, does it effect performance? Post by: rainyday on July 10, 2017, 06:04:05 PM I went out yesterday afternoon and this evening G to two different permmisions, both which have given good results in the past.
However both me and a mate pretty much Blanked? Could this be down to the dry weather and the ground being less conductive? Thanks D Title: Re: Dry weather, does it effect performance? Post by: dingdong on July 10, 2017, 06:57:58 PM Yes,gotta go 100%with Dragonsbreath (Paul)...you get far better conductivity on wet/moist soil....much prefer to detect after a drop a rain has fallen after a dry spell.

Post by: wagis on July 11, 2017, 04:25:04 PM I've just been out for 2 hours and even after all that rain we have had the ground is still real dry from an inch down onwards so the signals are not very good still and poor at giving a good definition, the dry weather really does effect metal detecting.
