Hello All.
After being away on our first family Euro trip to Spain in the van for a fortnight, detecting withdraw symptoms were setting in real bad  Sad .Luckily a club dig in Devon on some really good land was on yesterday,so I was keen to get up there  Grin .
I had a nice selection of finds,a hammered,a Viccy fourpence, four copper thimbles,a couple of buckles and quite a few worn flat coppers.
Below are my best finds.
I like the coin with the markings on it,I was only reading a piece in Treasure Hunting the other day about altered coins.I think it is a William penny/half penny that has been made into a token maybe? Under the TP it has IL punched into a square box.
I'm pleased with the clothing fastener too.I need to clean it a bit better.I washed it in soap and water and then put some wax on it,but it has not dried very well .
If anyone could id the hammered for me it would be appreciated?
I'm thinking it could be a Edward III Penny Spink 1584?,but not sure, there's a lot of 'em in there Cheesy
Cheers  Wink
