What's it made of Jass? it looks lead and if so then I would say it's small ledger weight. Undecided.

I've had lots of fishing weights over the years but never seen one with ornate markings on it and it also looks a bit small for a ledger weight, especially for a sea-fishing weight

It will be another of those things that when you find out what it is you'll say 'ah yes, of course it is - why didn't I think of that!'

Still the best option so far. Most of todays lockets are hollow and sealed. Got the look of something a bit older but that's prob. because it's been on the beach.  Could be pewter. Pewter Jewelery was popular, and is still made.
