hello peeps .i did'nt go back to the beach last night because i was a bit shagged out so i went this morning and i got a few more rings.nothing fancy but it keeps you swinging even if you find cheepies ,did'nt get much coins though only a 3p silver georgie 5th and a 6p silver 1952. i did also find a brass large safety pin with a stone set in it
 good luck  Smiley

the trick with aberavon is getting your timing right .i search that beach at least 4 times a week when the lunar cycle is right, new moon or full moon.then i get a good picture of the bits of the beach where sand has gone up or down.where we were yesterday was the best place for coins and rings but today it was in front of the sandbar instead of behind it,its wierd and cant figure it out but it just happens  Smiley

Nice going Mike. It only seems a few months ago since you were asking me if and when you would find your first ring, OH hang on a minute it was only a few months ago Grin
It's all right for you lot with your New Moons and Full Moons and sand bars, over here you've got half a mile of mud at low tide with even more at the equinoxes Sad

Brean is all mud Mike, well it is when the tied goes out. Minehead's not much better as it lost all of it's beach in 1995 in a storm, so the sand that's there was dredged from the channel. so It's mainly new finds on those beaches which I can't be bothered with.
