Title: Re: Id please hammies Post by: BugbrookeBen on September 22, 2014, 05:52:57 PM Hi!
They are both either half groats or groats and I think they are both Henry VI. The first one is from the Calais mint and the second one the London mint. The Calais mint coin dates from around 1420 - 1440. Lovely coins :) Title: Re: Id please hammies Post by: roaljodaka on September 22, 2014, 06:30:56 PM Bloody hell, wish i could find a coin like that :), lizzie is the oldest i ever get as a hammered :-\ well found, not green honestly ;)
Title: Re: Id please hammies Post by: Dungbeetle on September 22, 2014, 06:34:35 PM I'm presuming that they're both groats. The first one is an annulet issue of Henry vi minted in Calais and the second is a pinecone mascle issue of Henry vi. Nice finds.
