hi all hope all is well.cant wait for weekend.try some local beaches.just hope the sand hasnt been pushed in .good luck to you all

the beach at rhos on sea by the pier is blocked off, they are moving sand to pensarn beach. not sure how long this will take
looks a big operation huge dredging ship ofshore. can still detect rhos point though.
hope this saves people a wasted trip, still plenty of beach to use just not by pier and new cafe boating area.

Friday is the lowest tide. Depending on weather I might have a go. Chickened out today and went to the fields instead. I reckoned they would be a bit more sheltered from the wind.

Had another scrap session and can now say I detected in the snow. :o

yes plenty of clothing,and a few pairs of socks.hopefully this cold snap will keep the kids off the beach because i hate being disterbed lol when im in the mode,hope my mate sef is kind to me this weekend

I looked like the Michelin Man when I went out this afternoon. Tried out my new Balaclava, it was the bees knees.
I pass a neighbour on the way and she didn't recognise me, prob. thought it was the I.R.A. on the move. ::)
Good test for the beach though. Should be O.K. with 4 layers, balaclava, fur lined boots and neoprene gloves.  ;D

got a face scarf cos theres nothing worse than being sand blasted as i found out when i went out with mark one day.eyes were burning for days after lol

took the dog down barry island today,the tide was right low and there in the distance was an ever present silhouette of a detectorist on the low water mark ,its the same bloke i see everytime i visit the beach,is it anyone off this site?

at barry its probably paul with a minelab explorer,he does well at barry ;)
