Title: Re: big tides Post by: wet feet again on March 27, 2013, 08:15:55 PM the beach at rhos on sea by the pier is blocked off, they are moving sand to pensarn beach. not sure how long this will take
looks a big operation huge dredging ship ofshore. can still detect rhos point though. hope this saves people a wasted trip, still plenty of beach to use just not by pier and new cafe boating area. steve Title: Re: big tides Post by: Val Beechey on March 27, 2013, 08:20:58 PM Friday is the lowest tide. Depending on weather I might have a go. Chickened out today and went to the fields instead. I reckoned they would be a bit more sheltered from the wind.
Had another scrap session and can now say I detected in the snow. :o Val Title: Re: big tides Post by: dances with badgers on March 27, 2013, 08:33:44 PM come on peeps get the thermals on and get some gold weehee its free :o

I pass a neighbour on the way and she didn't recognise me, prob. thought it was the I.R.A. on the move. ::) Good test for the beach though. Should be O.K. with 4 layers, balaclava, fur lined boots and neoprene gloves. ;D Val Title: Re: big tides Post by: musket ball on March 27, 2013, 09:02:25 PM got a face scarf cos theres nothing worse than being sand blasted as i found out when i went out with mark one day.eyes were burning for days after lol
