....the nearest clubs to you will be the cardiff scan club and R.A.R.E., which is just north of pontypridd in the rhondda valley...the details of both clubs can be found in the detecting club section.... Wink

Hi Grant & keegan. Welcome guy's. I'm pretty new to metal detecting too and have only ben out a few times. Luckily i managed to find a gold ring which has led to me becoming hooked on metal detecting.

You can find out so much interesting stuff on this site and everyone is really friendly and helpful. Good luck with you treasure hunting - hope you find loads of good stuff. Cheesy

Hi Grant and keegan they are a great bunch of people on here and any questions or problems there is always someone with the answer or the know how to help you. We go to porthcawl beach quite often. We are in the R.A.R.E club in trehafod which is a great friendly little club.

by the way phil bumped into a few detectorists in a dark alley they,re best find was a hoard of empty beer cans Grin

Are there any public footpaths near you ? through woods or fields ? Good places to detect and great for getting used to the garret 250 which i use myself. Im only up in maesteg so may bump into you some time.... Good hunting both Wink
