Make sure you open the picture with paint box & resize your picture as it will be too big, change it from 100 to 30. You'll soon get the hang of it m8.

What I mean is, if you gave alms to the church in any quantity you would receive a document stating the fact and blessing you. The seal which could be made of gold (from Rome) was often kept as a good luck token for the afterlife. It is, actually, a Papal Bulla from Clement IV 1265 - 1268. Some good eyes out there. Thanks for your kind words. Here are a couple of close-up pictures of it. I found it up near Hunstanton. It measures about 1 1/2" in diameter. From what I've read, it did have a cord running through it to attach it to a document, to prove it was from the Vatican. Skip
