Well done there Phil,
Iv'e found loads of stuff for people, and do they ever offer you a drink, naaaa never, if it was me i'd be so gratefull i'd make them have something,

2 years ago at barry a group of  Asian lads were watching me and having a bit of a laugh,
a bit later one came up to me and asked me if i could find his gold neckchain he's lost,  i went over, he showed me where he lost it, but i wasn't happy about that place so drifted a bit outside the area where he'd marked off.
I found it about 3 yards  away from where he thought it was,
he was very excited and pleased that i'd found it,  his mate said you owe him a drink now, co.mon. he just blushed and that was it   lol

never mind, i wouldn't have taken it anyhow,  for me it was reward enough to get it back to him, overcoming the challenge, and maybe showing us in a better light than they first thought,

It's nice to find things for people. I have been asked to find a few rings over the years (one was in a christmas cake, marked the spot on the cake where it was, they wouldn't cut it until xmas  Cheesy ).

Got a call a few summers ago, the guy was panicking, he was on the tractor baling straw one sunday afternoon, wife was helping and she had lost her wedding ring. There was a bit of an atmosphere when I got there and she was tamping. " it's his fault I lost it" and she was glaring at him in the tractor, he drove off and carried on with the baling having told me that his wife had unblocked the baler and they had marked the area with a bale.
I said all of the right things and went over to have a search, went up and down and round and round for ten minutes, couldn't find it.
I felt under some pressure to find it now , feeling really sorry for the poor bloke and wondering how it was his fault?
Anyway a bit more searching and I thought I was going to be there for the long haul, spoke to the lady again and asked her again what had happened, decided to move the bale and hey presto! She quickly put it on, then I asked how it could be his fault when she lost it.
"If I hadn't been helping him, then I wouldn't have lost the ring" (female logic). Offered money and wine but I declined, just happy to avert world war III.  Wink

Snowing heavily in Newport this morning and the weather forecast said it's going to be -4 tomorrow morning, I'm going to sit in front of a roaring candle to stay warm.  Cheesy Cheesy
