the 1970's were great.droughts,strikes,power cuts,all the pubs an clubs full,open collieries and only two cars in the street.
happy days lol
goin down the shop to buy fags for the farmer at the age of eight,you knew everyone in the sreet.no peadophyles just a dodgy uncle who turned up at xmas every year who nobody spoke of the rest of the year.your grannies mates all had beards an moustaches an had to kiss you on new years eve.happy days lol
 second hand clothes from a fat guy down the road who was 5 years older than you,your mother telling you top pick a stick from the hedge to beat you with,only heating in the house was a coal fire in the living room ( just chuck another coat on the bed ).
waking up with a 3ft snow drift in the passage ,happy days.

oh man i could write a book lol.breakin in to private mines.stealing dets and blowing fish up ,happy days.
stealing miners helmets and chargin lamps up then goin down the mines lol

riding the coal train an jumping off last minute,buying fireworks from the local post office all year round when your ten,marvellous.everyone had shotguns and walked up the street with them even when they were only 14.happy days

everyone hangin around with a guy called paul newman cos he was the only kid within 40 mile who had a swimming pool lol even though he had english bull terriers that were assholes and loved to bite kids

oh almost forgot goin for a rubbish in the winter in the outside bog that was frozen up and full,cookin on a parafine cooker with all the fumes given off,drinking water from lead water pipes .happy days

It was similar in Ystalyfera lol, Nipping down the shop to buy singles [ fags] when you were only 11
Lighting fires on mountains, throwing axes at trees to try and make them stick. Playing STRETCH
where you threw a dagger towards somebody and whereever it landed they had to stretch their foot to that spot, the only way that you could bring your legs together was to throw the dagger in
between the other persons legs. Oh the innocent youth we had

swimming in the local rivers,ear infections,looking for a glass eye in the pond where you and local farmer were poaching the night before and finding it ( not easy when your 9 ),makin a blunderbuss and blowing shed wall apart .happy days.

yes dylan throwin bill hooks at tree's playin the splits with pen knives,bows and arrows ,fire arrows,petrol bombs ,french bangers ( actually chinese but bought in france and banned over here,really powerful ).
 makin tree houses ,the council askin you to pull tree house down cos they over hang a footpath and are in the second biggest oak tree in walles .oooopsey

your mothers polish boy friends family staying for the summer so you wake up at 6am with no carpets or curtains in the house cos they are in the garden being beaten to death with a stick.later in summer being woken up by your mothers 20 stone aunty mary from clacton on sea who just swallowed a bumble bee while sleeping on your couche.what a racket lol.happy days.
  water ban,havin to get water in buckets from a bowser at end of the street.no bin men.burning your rubbish in the garden.happy days.
3 tv channels in black an white.awsome lol
