Sweet Jesus Phil!!!! Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

That is an outstanding find and if I'm not mistaken Roman Calvary.

That is outstanding and I can safely say the most impressive find in my opinion on this website to date. That would be all my christmas's come true at once!

Well done mate - you deserve it!

I am still in awe Phil - if that doesn't walk away with find of the year at SCAN Club - I have no idea what would. I have looked at it numerous times and can find no exact comparison so far in all my reference books and on the net.

Love the horse head terminals on the far right of it. As I siad earlier I am guessing at roman Cavalry, but the circular dots on the main buckle plate may spell older. No bugger it, I am sticking with Roman - museum quality find mate.

Not sure if everyone on here realises how rare and perfect an artefact that is!

Truely amazing

Hell Phil that is the most stunning buckle I have ever seen, the condition is fantastic, gotta be Roman but there is a celtic influence there.
Never mind Cardiff scan I would say that it has got to be the find of the year countrywide as an artefact, something to cherish, well saved, you have every reason to be over the moon!
