Title: New Garrett
Post by: Chef Geoff on September 25, 2010, 05:19:49 AM
I had an email waiting for me this morning, asking if the chef-Phones CP2 would work well with the new Garrett AT pro International. What, who, when, why? never heard of it, so I did a search and yes there it is folks.
It seems that all the things people have been wanting from the Ace 250 has gone into this new machine, the new 350 would seem to be just an upgrade. It even works underwater to 10'

So Geoff is this a renamed Euroace ,or a totally new machine,if it is a new machine , what price range are we looking at.
It seems strange for a manufacturer to release 2 new models so close to each other , unless there is a large difference in performance .

The norm is to release one , wait until it takes off and starts selling well , then bring out the next model to **** off those who bought the first one .

There must be a large price dicrepancy between the two so they don't compete with each other ,otherwise they could be shooting themselves in the foot.

As you know i just bought the Teknetics G2 , i was looking for an all new machine , this one slipped in unadvertised under the Radar.

Answered my own question: According to their site, there will be an international version of the Pro, for use outside of the US, available as well. They tell you to contact your local dealer.

Just logged in to a US forum , and they are not happy chappies on there , it seems that it will be released overseas before the US , hence the International title , Garrett are not the first to do this, so are they using us to iron out the bugs before they release it in the States.

i have got the ace 250 and im very happy with it
i seen the new ase 350 at the hanney rally a few weeks ago
and there's not much difference between them so i won't be buying one
but i find the ace 250 a good machine you get what you pay for.

They may look similar but there are a lot of differences between the machines. The new AT is aimed at the pro market hence the price.
