A grotty Roman, couple of cruddy coppers, a large musket ball, buttons.

Not the best of days but everyone seemed to find a couple of coins etc.  Jason had a Charles penny, Matt had a William love token and I had an unusual 12 pence token pics to follow. Had  a chat with the farmer and he said there's a lot more history on the other side of the road and we can go on that in a couple of months when the cattle go inside.

Wrong shape for Roman slingshot ammo, nearest other likely id is ammo of some sort.

I had a couple of small musket balls, bullets, random scrap. Pennies etc. But I did have a very very early Miller farthing which may be William and Mary, not sure yet. Left it to soak in some olive oil so I can try and highlight the shadows etc.

was a good laugh.
