Title: Tiddler from the Vale
Post by: The Doc on December 05, 2014, 07:20:37 PM
Had a pleasant day out on pasture in the Vale today, with only sheep for company. Nearly beat my day's record for tubes, but this was my best find.

May not look much, but it's only my second ever hammered farthing. I tend to forget now small these are - we think of a 1p as a small coin!

It's an Edward II farthing, London mint, Class 10-11, Withers Type 30b.
