Great report Neil and some nice finds  Smiley

I managed to avoid finding anything decent  but enjoyed the day apart from getting soaked by that shower.

Lovely posy ring  Smiley

Dale - you're nearly there with the short cross.

I agree it's John (Class 5b1) and I agree the moneyer is Fulke, but the mint looks like it ends with an 'M', so I think it's Bury St Edmunds. Would have read something like FVLKE ON S. EDM.

Thank you doc, After a gentle clean the legend does read S.EDM
Thanks again To DW and the team for a cracking day with great company

The two romans are (top) Allectus and (bottom) Carausius.

Looks like everyone had a great day despite the weather - and that ring is fantastic.

Great Rally today guys, but I'm a little worried about my Mrs  Embarrassed she seems to be finding far to much good gear  Undecided Not a lot I can do now except take batteries out, or forget to take Detector along.
Nobody should be aloud to find a 11.5 gram Gold Posy ring on their first D W Rally. There should be a law against it  Wink
By the way, another top Rally report Neil  Cool

Thanks, Jeff and Desilina.

Another absolute cracker of a D W rally, not to much in the way of finds for me , a possible Roman
silver,  It was heavily encrusted, with a gentle wash the crust came mostly off ,Unfortunately no
detail left, Thanks to the organisers of DW [ or in Robs case UNorganised ] 2014 rallies are producing some amazing finds, Can't wait until the next one. Detecting Wales. Com has got to be
the best forum in the U.K.With great members , moderators and rally organisers, Great write up Neil
