Remembrance Day is observed on 11 November to recall the official end of World War I on that date in 1918, as the major hostilities of World War I were formally ended "at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month" of 1918 with the German signing of the Armistice.

Lest we forget :

As a former serviceman it is always a lump in the throat moment and time to reflect on people who rise above everything and give the ultimate sacrifice ( hopefully ) for the better of mankind. Brave people from all walks of life. We must all take a moment to remember.

I hope all members will respect this day and on Sunday to reflect on all the men women and children whose lives were lost and are still being lost
so that we can stll enjoy our freedom and hobby
During the second world war i lost two uncles in the RAF  and my farther was a captain on a merchant ship carrying cargo from Liverpool to Archangel in Russia on the western approaches run on which many ships were sunk by topedoes
He died over twenty years ago but he never got over the horrow of war
so please fall silent just for two minutes on Sunday at eleven and today to reflect on those who gave there lives so we can enjoy our todays
