Nice finds Ferret, your 4 thimbles are 4 more than we have found. a thimble is defo on our 'to find' list which, unfortunately, is still very, very, very long lol
See you at the rally tomorrow if you are going

Thats not a bad days detecting by anyones standard. Nice going Ferret. Grin
I dont think thats a cartwheel penny though. They have a very wide pronounced rim around the edge. Who's head is on the other side ? it's in good condition compared to the one I found.

Nice going Morley, did all the thimbles come from the same area (ish)?. I've had fields where thimbles have turned up both from the medieval period and relatively new 18-19thC all from the same area, showing that that area was for what ever reason the place to sit and sew the wool sacks.
As Val and Alan has said, not a Carty I'm afraid, I guarantee when you find one you willlllllllll know Cheesy
