Many many years ago my dad took me out detecting with a CScope 1220B, this would be way back in the mid to late 80's in Southampton. 25 years have since past and now my interest in this hobby has been rekindled and I'm just about to buy a 2nd hand Minelab Safari, is this a good machine? Although I must admit the 1220B is still in good working order, I do feel however that technology has now moved on a little   Cheesy

I now live in Drybrook, Forest of Dean and I'm busy trying to find possible farmland to search on as well as finding fellow detectorists who live locally for a little guidance to help me on my way.

Really looking forward to meeting fellow detectorists on this forum

Welcome to the forum Jon, To answer your question about the Safari....Yes it is one of the best out there so no excuses  Cheesy. It may take you a little time to get used to it but will a little patience you will soon get the hang of it. There are a few members from your neck of the woods who I'm sure will make themselves known soon enough. Wink
