Out with Ian Gadget for the afternoon on a new pasture field we'd not done before. Not very much in the way of signals but slowly the buttons, lead and musket balls started showing. I picked up a Vicky shilling and later after many soakings and failing to incurr the heavens wrath by holding my metal spade up to the thunderous skies ( much to Ians horror) up popped my first (non melted) George iii Shilling .....Chuffed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well done rob a nice afternoon detecting session. Wink told you it would be worth it. Cheesy im glad i cleaned those coins for you in the field they came up nice mate.I did think you was going to have a hart attack while i cleaning them though. Grin Grin Grin.
