The post earlier  today by yankee as got me thinking it shows a picture of a miniture portable computer many detectors detectors on the market at present contain micro circuits derived from designs developed for the mobile phone industry the state of the art detectors  like the E TRAC with which you can down load programs via your home pc the SPECTRA  v3 with which you can send and recieve programs while detecting with your friends will the next step be long programme exchange via satalitte  Huh Huh Huh mole

No doubt it'll happen sooner or later. What I would like to see is a completely cordless detector.

Dickle Richy that maybe asking a bit too much Huh I was going to say how about a built in GPS system theres a problem with that though it rings of 1984 just like they the forces that be intend to control our road speeds in future via satalitte we could also be monitored ands that factual  Angry Angry mole

Rob have you played the DFX detecting simulator?

I can't open the link for some reason but if you google "I-Detect Treasure Hunter" you'll find it there.

The GPS wouldn't be a good thing! our wife's would be able to find us while detecting and order us home for work around the house!

Who would have thought 5/10 years age we,d be able to download and share programs and upload them onto your state of the art Detector (E-trac)

But what i find amazing is ...there still isnt a fully waterproof land detector
and when F1 cars are no heavier than and old shape Mini why is the Minelab Explorer so dame heavy lol
