What seems a very nice Explorer 11, with 3 coils etc, is for sale, on Gumtree only £200, a bargain.

This scammer was mentioned on the Scotland site a couple of weeks ago.

Lesson,  If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. Beware.

I can't be bothered to check, but I bet if you search for completed auctions on ebay for the before mentioned detectors you'll find the same description and photos etc and that they sold for twice as much. The scammers are too retarded to write a convincing sounding advert so they recycle them  Roll Eyes

Yeah definately a Scammer! the person in question was also supposedly selling a Lobo supertrack for £120, around a month ago.
There is a report button you can press on there advert, but I dont think its making any difference with Gumtree or Preloved.

what they are after is yor email addresses they purposfully advertise silly low prices to get easy targets and sell those email addresses on.
See they run the same ads in 20 different towns n cities.
They usually target high end stuff like digital slr cameras, lenses, cars and now metal detectors.
Never seem to have a number but if it is it is a mobile then they sell your number for debt managment, insurance claims and so on.
they don't actually rob you straight away they get someone else to do that later.
