surprising what comes up behind the plough and being in the right area helps,sestertius first signal then the rest followed the roman bronzes were all iffy signals must be the lumpy dry soil  ;)

Fantastic finds!!can I av a couple of them old Roman coins to chuck into one of my permissions, well,it certainly would liven it up a bit!! Ha!ha!  Ah well dream on!!

The glory must go to you Colin on these finds mate, especially that cracking Sestertius you just don't see many coins in that condition and quality ;)  ;) well done

That doesn't suprise me Colin, it's superb ;) as you know there normally worn due to circulation,well mine are :'(

They probably did Mark it's just that those that came later were far more into pastoral than arable farming and so most land down your way has never seen a plough and everything is DEEP!
