Title: Re: record your finds Post by: steven king on May 01, 2009, 01:16:44 PM You are right there Kev - an excellent site that shows a good variety of finds - it certainly helps with the ID of artefacts just by looking at what other people have found. The trouble is, my 'wish list' of what I would like to find keeps getting longer as I see the great things being dug up!
Title: Re: record your finds Post by: mole on May 01, 2009, 04:42:48 PM I wuold like peter H to identify some finds for me problem is Ihavent got the means to upload any photographs at present and I don,nt think it would be a good idea to bring any along to a rally with me for obvious reasons ::) mole
Title: Re: record your finds Post by: Neil on May 01, 2009, 05:02:47 PM Bring them along Mole - they should be safe in your car - Peter is red hot on coins - I'm dreadful. Artefacts however I am pretty good at, so bring them along.
If you want me to photograph them for the Gallery just ask. Neil Title: Re: record your finds Post by: Jonola (Jon) on May 01, 2009, 05:13:02 PM Scrap dealers identify most of my finds...lead....lead....ring pull...lead

Title: Re: record your finds Post by: The Doc on May 01, 2009, 08:43:40 PM Thanks for the UKDFD plug Kev. I am on there, although I am not worthy compared to the likes of Rod Blunt, who is the God of coin IDs.
mole - if you or anyone else want to bring things along to rallies for an ID, I'll try my best on coins and as Neil said, he's pretty good on artefacts. Title: Re: record your finds Post by: Kev on May 01, 2009, 08:49:18 PM Peter, i had to plug the UKDFD because i know how good it is and have had great help off the likes of ROD BLUNT,NIGEL NICKLESON, and of course your good self ;)
