Title: Re: Some of my flints Post by: TEZZA on October 13, 2015, 08:36:30 PM Thank you all for your comments Most of these were found in West Gloucestershire Again its all about getting the permissions to at least walk ploughed fields even if they say no to detecting usually i`d just ask to field walk then return and show them any finds e.g. flint pottery and the odd coin try and get them interested then pop the question can i use a detector A lot of the farmers thought i was a bit mad walking up and down looking for bits of stone as they put it but it has paid off over the years having found many prehistoric sites and a few Roman as well as building the farmers trust
