just be aware that as every beach on the gower is owned by the national trust, the crown estates permit is not valid.

cheers

steve be prepared there is a LOT of sand deposited on the top of Oxwhich, any finds likely to be modern. went there 2 weeks ago with beachboy. did get a couple of vicky and george pennys in wet sand though.
also be very carefull of cliffs right hand side of beach there was a huge land slide a few weeks ago, some boulders as big as cars came down and one the size of a small house..you wont miss it. just be carefull if you plan detecting at the bottom of that area

Pendine was always a good one for me
but avoid Morfa Buchan the next bay over
I have heard the West wales Clubs have some success there but when me and my 3 friends went all be found between us are 2 fishing weights and an aluminum oar from a small dingy lol

Hi Mike

Ive always Fancied having a swing around Rhossili and Worms head
There,s 12 recorded Ship wrecks there just beyond lowtide one from the 17th Century.(The Dollar Ship)
and of cause the wreck of the Helvetia on the beach.

Im planning on doing a lot more Beach combing in the near Furture (after the 20th of Sept)
Has anyone had any luck on Rhossili
Atb
Phil
