Title: First time out this year Post by: TJ on January 13, 2013, 05:17:47 PM First time out this year on Swansea beach with my garrett Ace 250
Went for dry sand first in the dunes (lots of nocturnal activity evident) Found 15 Budweiser bottle tops , a nail and lots of foil and wire and my FIRST £1.00 coin ;D tried wet sand and got loads of false markers and lots of digging but no finds. Returned to dry sand and found another Two pounds cash and many more bottle tops :'( Thouroughly enjoyed myself today and got a SunTanned face to boot ??? ??? Three things i found out today, 1. The Garrett doesnt like wet sand :'( 2. hope to get down west west wales soon doing both land and beach Thinking of upgrading soon to the Garrett at pro international will this be a suitable machine for land and beach it is about my limit financially or is there a better machine for the same price. I have an AT Pro fantastic on dry and damp sand. I've not yet give it a full go on wet sand will give it a go and let you know. Forget about ace 250 ,euro on wet sand, had one was going mad ok if you turn sens right down but you will be lucky to go down to 3 inches . |
