Title: Hey up oor lads and lasses.

After almost five years of beach detecting, I'm contemplating sticking the following maxim on my beach detector; "Tide and time waits for no man",  ::)

Hope you've not had problems Chris ? How did the other days detecting go well I hope?

All the best Richie  :)

Good evening Richie,
I never actually made it to the beach with the detector over the weekend. I'm hoping to get some time in on Wednesday and Sunday. Some big tides over the last couple of days; just a good job that they were not being pushed by high winds.

I think today was the biggest tide in 17 years. As you say, good job no big Northerly winds.
How long do we get away with it up here?

Big moons pulling the tides higher. The other year they evacuated the caravan site and loads of places were flooded. Rhyl was in a mess for months afterwards.
