Ventured out onto some new pasture land today having given up on the planted fields for now, just too wet! I was pretty hopeful that it might be a productive bit of land as its adjacent to the village church and had an ancient path from the village to said church running through it. Thankfully the rain held off and I was able to get a good few hours in, my hopes were indeed justified as there were so many signals, completely undetected. I had quite a few 'greenies' with some good condition Georges in the mix, a nice Charles copper, buckles, barrel tap key (my first!), lots of lead, mounts and of course the obligatory 'THINGY'! But by far my best find was a solid silver medallion dating to 1920 for the winning hockey team, very nice!
Just gutted I've got to go to work tomorrow!

Haven't been able to find out much about the actual hockey league, but the hall marks are Birmingham 1920, makers mark Mappin & Webb.
