Title: Hi from Anglesey
Post by: ray7 on August 20, 2012, 09:56:32 PM
Thought it was about time to introduce myself. I`ve been detecting on and off for about 15 years. The first detector was from Tandy and could detect a 2p at least half an inch away  :) . Soon got rid of that and after a chat at the shop in Mold bought a Viking 5. At that time I was only doing beaches but after a few years met a detectorest who I became very good friends with and he got me to join the local club (sadly nolonger running).
After joining I used the money from the beach to upgrade to an Ace 100 and had some nice finds with it but everybody was using Whites XLTs so in the end, again with money from beach finds, I bought an Eagle Spectrum from one of the lads.
That lasted me quite a while but then came the DFX and I just had to have one. That got me some of my best finds including Roman. Only problem I was coming to the off part, I had become ill and the medication causes muscel and joint pain and I found I could not swing the DFX for more than half an hour and started going out less and less and in the end sold it.
I`m still on the medication, and will be for life, but my body is adjusting to it and I now have a Coinmaster that I am now able to do 2 hours with and I have just ordered a CS4PI.
Sorry to be so long winded.

Ray
