Title: Re: background Post by: DIGGA on July 03, 2009, 07:50:10 PM I GENERALLY USE WOOD DIFFERENT SHADES DEPENDING ON THE FIND ;D ;D
Title: Re: background Post by: Radnor Bandit (Ian) on July 03, 2009, 07:57:45 PM Depends what colour your finds are,
Try a contrasting background for impact . Ie Nice green patana pieces look well against shades of red ,pink or orange. Pastel yellows or light blue works well with silver. As long as you choose a plain (not patterned) block colour. If you are using digital camera the sensers may have a blue or green bias,(photos dont comeout as expected) so play around with a few colours to see what suits you and the camera best. Title: Re: background Post by: ROMAN STEVE on August 03, 2009, 10:29:47 PM Yes it does depend on the artifact and the lighting on what colour to
use Title: Re: background Post by: sukisal on August 05, 2009, 09:24:57 PM I always use white, really don't like other colours as I tend to think they detract from the subject, and a white background makes the coin/artifact stand out on its own, no square frame if you get what i mean ;)

Title: Re: background Post by: sukisal on August 12, 2009, 11:36:30 AM Thanks. I use a Panaosonic Lumix FZ20 digital SLR.
Getting a bit old now, but they are very good, came out tops in the camera press for quality as they use the Leica lense. And really easy to use. I need a quality piece of kit as I sell jewellery on ebay. Title: Re: background Post by: vitallius (Dave) on August 12, 2009, 01:44:12 PM Cheers for that Sukisal....... ;D ;D..Dave
