Checked out a local beach earlier Andrew, there must be well over 12" of fresh sand up on high water. No point at the moment anything which is anything is well covered for now.

I did Oxwich last Saturday, it was heaving in the day,
so I had to wait until 7.40 pm to have a crack. I found £1.50.
It only cost me £30 diesel and £4 to park and £4 for two bags of chips.
but had a great day. NO BEGGING LETTERS PLEASE  Grin Grin Grin

Gutted  Cry Cry Cry my DFX went pop. Aint got a clue why, as she did not get wet but gave a overload indication, of which i increased sensitivity, then she noted low battery and then lights out.  Cry She is on her way back to sunny Scotland, just when the tides are getting right.
I reckon DWB hexed her to increase his chances in Gold! Undecided
Never thought I would be this gutted over a detector. Embarrassed

i dont know why your panicing the tides are rubbish for the next 7 days and you should have your detector back by then.  just because we get a full moon does'nt mean we'll get big spring tides it just means the tides are at their biggest for that month.  last month the highest tide was 11.2 meters which by any standards was nothing more than average the biggest tide of the year will be in october at 12.04 meters (i think) much better for getting out onto virgin sand that has'nt seen a detector in a long time
