I had heard of the new Whites V3 being released but I wasn't aware of this   beastie, what are your first reactions to this creation ?

It's been out some time in the US. Doesn't seem to have set the world alight and haven't seen any reports of it being used in the UK.

I think it only hit the shops in the UK this weekend so a bit early to tell, give it a few weeks and there should be some feedback.

I like the idea of wireless headphones too tafflaff - I think that they have bought them out for some of the models of the minelab, but not the e-trac.  The cable is a right pain when you put the detector down to dig.  The problem is, they make the headphones so expensive - you could book a week in Spain for the price just about.  Although not a technical person myself, in this day and age it cannot be that difficult to make a sender unit to plug into the detector and build a receiver into the headphones.  How hard can it be Huh Grin
