I tried three of the hammered on my Quattro at yesterdays Rally and they all gave me a 14 which I would always dig. When chasing a hammered I would go down as low as -2 after running some Herefordshire Hammered by the Quattro. Yesterday all my -2 was Iron but all my 14 signals turned out to be worked Lead. Normally Lead on the Quattro is 19 to 25. There is a lot to this detecting game.

Photos incl Post by: waltonbasinman on May 03, 2009, 07:31:15 PM Thanks Yankee I had to get hold of some of my Roman from Herefordshire. Silver coins run by at 34 to 38. Bronze runs by at between 28 to 34 and some smaller alloy coins that i have run by at 18 to 21 which suggests a lot of lead. Very Interesting Yankee. This weekend has certainly made me think about my perception of my machine.

Photos included Post by: Yankee on May 03, 2009, 10:49:25 PM Another thing I noticed about the Roman coin test was the Safari responded much more stronger when detecting the Roman coins then it did the Modern U.S. clad coins. The tones were much stronger and louder. I dont know why this was so but I thought some of you would be interested in knowing this.
