went to a new farm today started @ 10.00 am finnished @ 14.30pm to hot to handle.full sun burnt to a crisp but i did find:-
a roman fibular broach.
silver sixpence 1932.
silver 3 pence 1901.
silver shilling 1920.
farthing 1916.
2 george 3 half pennies.
penny 1841.
7 buttons.
pistol ball lead.
bullet lead.
bits of bronze.
then i gave up after heat exhaution to return annother day.

wow   great stuff Ian, well done my son,  sounds a realy good site youv'e got there,  do it a bit at a time, slow and low mate,  gotta be lots more there,
 yeah, know waht you mean about the sunburn,  i took my daughter and the kids to Amelia trust farm., the roman brooch field is in crop now,  the airport and then Barry Beach today, we all caught it,  i was thinking  you'd soon get caught out in those fields,  lol
