Title: Scale bars for Photographs. Post by: Chef Geoff on September 06, 2010, 09:07:57 PM Hi All, just a quick request to help all those who try and identify finds on the site
One problem is trying to asses the size of the object that has been posted, which is a critical part of the id'ing procedure. Also if you wish to self record with PAS it is very important to show some kind of scale against your find. Below I have attached a word document for you to download, which has two scale bars on it. One is in CM and the other CM and MM. If you would like to print some copies of these, they are a simple, convenient and professional way of showing scale. Also if you can get one laminated then it will last an age. Hope it helps Title: Re: Scale bars for Photographs. The only thing needed for UKDFD is the item on a plain neutral-colour background.

Post by: nobby on September 06, 2010, 09:40:56 PM also due to the constructions of some cameras, an image is taken from an internal mirror, thus causing the picture to come out reversed...so say for example somebody looks like an idiot by putting their headphones the wrong way around.... ;camera reversal ::) ::).......... ;D ;D

No scale of any sort is needed on UKDFD photos, but the finders need to supply the measurements themselves. Title: Re: Scale bars for Photographs.
