howdoo peeps, met up with celticspikey, troutmaster funk and dave mustard today on tenby with hopes of going home with a pocket full of rings.
3 hrs later i got a pocket full of bullets lol.i did manage a little army cap badge, its a kings own yorkshire light infantry cap badge.
these guys were sent in at the begining of the somme and suffered heavy casualties and fatalities at the begining of the great war..
i hope the guy who lost this badge made it home alive. Angry

What a nice find; not too much damage and it's cleaned up real well. I hope he made it home in one piece, as well. When recovering WWII scrap from the RAF Air-to-Ground range at Talacre, I often wonder how many pilots honed their skills there, how many were lost in battle, and how many made it home unscathed.

When I restarted metal detecting I didn't realise just how emotive some finds were going to be.
