first time out today ... went up Caerleon way with stig...found some old thrupences and an old penny  also LOADS  of old iron and a MASSIVE  horseshoe  but best of all i found a little silver roman coin ... needless to say   chuffed to bits  ive put a pic of it in the mud  and one when i cleaned it up a little .... lovely weather and  nice finds   wot a great day !!
