Out today with DTLG and in the last half hour, pulled out what at first looked like a piece of bent plumbing! Once the soil was off it; the shape said something else. But isn't it too small for an axe?

And before anyone says it, yes I know the tape measure was made in France! I have checked it with an English ruler just in case  Wink

Can anyone put a date on please?

No nothing wrong with the size Tony it looks about normal for a looped and socketed axehead 1100-750 BC Wink

Oh an by the way

I have checked it with an English ruler just in case  Wink

I think it more correct to address her as "Her Majesty", not sure she's the right person to ask though Grin
