One for Paul (or anyone who has any ideas)
Found this shaped stone on the beach yesterday. The colour caught me eye 1st. it's green, natural stone and very flat one one side. The other side seems to be worn and damaged.

Nudge Paul  Grin  Pici doesn't quite do it justice. It's an odd shape to be natural nu the flat side is also very odd.

Could do with a closer bigger piccy really Val. Hard to say but could be prehistoric but would be more confident if it were not found on a beach which makes me think water and beach rolled. See what you can do. I would certainly have picked it up.

Hi Paul. New picis as requested. If you think the same as my Hubby I'll bow to higher judgement.
Many thanks.

Now it looks like a pumice stone, Personally Val I think if it were found on a beach then it is probably natural. I would think any stone tool that was dropped on a beach over 4000 years ago would due to natural erosion now just be a pebble.

I think I must agree, Geoff. Thinking about it, if it had come out of the buried forest it would have been stained. Hubby says it's just a bit of concrete, perhaps he's right. I know that due to erosion some houses disappeared into the sea along this beach. Praps it's part of one of them. Cry

Can't get it right every time, not even the experts do.
