alright peeps as you now the long time girlfriend just left me with a load of un paid bills and debts,she is payin half the bills and still payin half the mortgage recently though.
because our mortgage is in joint names is she legally able to throw me out and sell the house?

the house is valued at 72,000 but we owe 73,000,so if we sell apart from bein homeless i will be down on the investment because of crash in housing market,donnt want to sell it,need some where to charge my detectors lol and hide the gold
has he she got the right to make me sell it?
any answers much apreciated

Sorry to hear your situation m8, Is there children involved?, if not the only way out i think is to remortgage and buy her out but unfortunately that depends if you can afford to remortgage  ???, if she lived with you for more than 6 months then yes i think she is entitled to half the house m8  :-\, i am no expert but if she is decent enough she may want to write a contract up with you and solicitors saying you will set up a direct debit to pay her so much a month, but that is up to her. hope this info helps, but firstly go to a solicitor and get free advice from them,most of them set up a first meeting free for advice.

I think you'll have to buy her out - technically it would be (depending on how long you've been together) half of everything - that's what I keep telling my missus...

My sister in law broke up with her boyfriend (I don't blame her in that case) - they built a house together - he's still there, but she's trying to get him to sell up / pay up as she legally owns half the house.
