Title: Bank holiday find Post by: relichunting on May 06, 2013, 06:37:22 AM Went to an organised 3 day bank holiday dig, and met many new friends.
Saturday I only managed to detect from 09.30-13.30 before the dreaded arthritic rheumatism set into my hand stopping me in my tracks. :-[ On the Saturday night we gathered around a camp fire and I shared a few ciders. ;D ;D Up on Sunday morning hand badly swollen and disfigured I decided to try an hour or two, effectually the pain getting the better of me. >:( Unfortunately this brought the dig to an end for me and I had to come home a day early not before having to get a jump start because I had a flat battery. I did manage to find this lovely artefact though its absolutely stunning. ;D It has been suggested its a Celtic strapend in the form of a dagger.
