Post by: WeCan-Octavian on February 20, 2013, 04:18:18 PM The Ncmd is about 10 quid initial joining then 8 quid a year, the insurance is included with the membership, you can do it all online via paypal, you have to have insurance to attend rallies etc and you never know when it may come in its basically 3rd party liability cover if anyone tries to claim against you for injury or damage to property.

These are FREEEEEEE and available from Crown Estates. There is a link through to it under 'Beach Detecting' in the Forum listings. Easy to do on line and they will send your licence via E.Mail. Title: Re: Insurance? Post by: outlaw on February 21, 2013, 11:26:10 AM To be fair also, you could also join the fid federation of independant detectorists, both NCMD and FID will give insurance. To join FID look up their web page or NCMD both have very good information pages and well worth a read.
