How did the RARE trip go at Spaxton. The weather was awful here and we are under some serious water in our fields. Was it the same for you. Waynos Liz 1 is a cracker so some good stuff was there did anyone else find much.

I heard of a few hammered found but nothing older than medieval. My best find was a commonwealth half groat - a little creased but in quite good nick.

Here you go.... there was a load of musket balls coming up from one field, so could have been a skirmish there.

the RARE trip was very good, lots of finds including 5 hammered, three religious type medallions, numerous georgian and viccies,a couple of cartwheel pennies,one was mine.. ;D.....we were very lucky with the weather, it stopped raining as we left the motorway and stayed dry all day... ;D.....byron
