CHEF IS RIGHT......REWING IS A REDWING.................FIELDFARE IS A FIELDFARE......THESE ARE OFTEN FOUND IN TOGETHER DURING THE WINTER MONTHS OVER HERE,AND CAN SUFFER FROM SEVERE WETHER ...
THE MISTLE THRUSH     IS ALSO KNOWN AS A STORMCOCK.THE NAME DERIVES FROM ITS HABIT OF SINGING IN THE TOP OF TREES IN THE MIDDLE OF A STORM..THIS BIRD AND THE SONG THRUSH WHICH IS SMALLER ARE NATIVE TO BRITON...
HOWEVER THE REDWING HAVE NESTED IN THE TOP OF SCOTLAND IN THE PAST,AND ONE PAIR OF FIELDFARES IN ARGYLESHIRE A WHILE BACK HAS BEEN RECORDED.THESE NEST IN SCANDANAVIOR..
ALL THESE BIRDS ARE MEMBERS OF THE THRUSHES!
THE BIRD IN MY NEXT DOORS GARDEN WAS A FIELDFARE,IT HAD BLUEY FEATHERS ON TOP AND WAS THE SIZE OF A MISTLE THRUSH..PS.(THEY LIKE MISTLTOE BERRYS.)..GWIL

Fieldfare, Redwing, Mistle Thrush & Song Thrush are 4 seperate bird species all belonging to the thrush family. So a fieldfare cannot be the same as a mistle thrush.  Wink

Last friday I put the front porch light on to try to find something I dropped and noticed this redwing roosting in the bush next to the front door.
