Well i had a spare day today and got invited out by our clubs elder statesman onto a piece of stubble land that had never been detected.

I was absolutely shattered after 6 hours of digging ... and there was a lot of that!!!  Whereas, the elder statesman, was still raring to carry on .... and he is 79!

Anyway, buttons galore, william farthing, georgian grot and a cut quarter plus a thimble fragment, a lovely watch winder all came up, to name but a few.

Naturally, if anyone can ID the cut quarter, i'll be very grateful

enjoy the pics,  i'm off to the hottub!
