best finds from today involve a crotal bell fragment with initials CWS

a piece of curved bronze 4 cm long [any ideas?]

2 nice buttons

a very worn rose farthing,

an elizabeth 2nd penny, and

an elizabeth 1st  penny, holed in 2 places.

so, an enjoyable day out, on a new field which holds a lot of promise.

and lots of lead!

enjoy

Another good field, another good day. Well done Alan. Grin

The bronze thingy is a Fish Knife minus the handle and snap on the pot leg. I got one identical off 'that' field last week.

Thanks for the comments guys n gals. Just to say that i also had 4 fragments of a crotal bell from 4 different areas of the field. My detecting buddy got a complete one as well.

As for the bullets and lead, well i knew you wouldn;t be interested in them! lol  Grin Grin

hopefully you will all be getting out after the strong winds have passed, and posting up your finds as well.

keep them coming.
