Hi, I'm not expecting an ID on this, but just wanted to see if anyone thinks that this is a Roman coin. Found it last week, it's slightly bigger than a modern penny. Looks like faint lettering on one side. If it is, it's my first roman after 10 years detecting!

well done ....nothing like your first Roman  Wink
I tried experimenting a bit with the image but no luck. You could try shining a torch on it from the side, that will highlight any raised bits like the lettering

maybe try what i do,,,throw it in a glass of olive oil for a few days ,usually brings up some detail.
