Title: Finds from 7/2/16
Post by: MarcB on February 10, 2016, 11:14:16 AM
Was out for a few hours on my permission last Sunday. I did half a size of a football pitch.
Coins only went back to 1903 and loads of modern.
Found a nice fragment of an medieval pewter spoon.
Buckles, buttons etc.

well done...I'm sure with that many finds in just half a pitch size its seen plenty of activity in the past so you may have lots more finds to make hopefully  ;)

The buckle looks to be George 3rd so a good spread time-wise.  Well used site more to come  ;)

Well the buttons are certainly older than 1903, so there's some chance of earlier stuff.

And modern isn't to be sniffed at - you can spend that :)
