Chef Title: Re: SEF for T2 Post by: hedgehog on August 23, 2009, 09:06:33 AM I asked the question a while back chef, Maxine said that she tried one with her F75 and that it had caused so many problems etc; that she sent it straight back, for the money that they cost I don't think that they are sorted for the T2 , have seen a few up for sale but don't feel tempted.

I had a 15x12, I dont know if I got a faulty one but I had difficulty getting the F75 stable! My theory is it was seeing too much ground and overloading the machine, I know that a few GMP users have not had very good results with the 15x12, that said maybe the 12x10 being smaller could be ok. Title: Re: SEF for T2 Post by: U.K. Brian on August 24, 2009, 08:11:07 AM I found that depth on small hammered remained the same, with a silver Pontin the edge went to the S.E.F. (12x10). I would think with the 15x12 the extra size and increased pick up of ground effect would reduce the sensitivity to these small items even more.
On a Viccy penny the depth gain with the S.E.F. was two inches. Coins on edge responded better with the S.E.F. Why haven't I got a S.E.F. on my T2 ? To scared of the creaking noise as I swept the coil back and forth. I can't see the handle to shaft mount lasting long. Its the weak point on both T2 and F75 and the repair cost is £50 odd. It wont GB but that doesn't seem to effect it's running as to weather I'm getting any extra depth only time will tell. the extra weight seems ok with no apparent strain on the T2, all feels tight and no whipping.
