Title: E-trac tales from a newbie part 7
Post by: Bojangle on August 11, 2014, 07:40:34 PM
This outing located a most interesting find. The 1812 one penny token , it appears to be "The Birmingham Copper Company with a pair of shaking hands in the centre. I have been trying to understand why it has been lost in Tredegar South Wales. It would appear that the Tredgar Iron Works issued its own Tredegar inscribed One Penny Token but I'm not sure why this different token is here unless they had a mix of tokens in circulation. The other item are some copper coins and a tapered cylinder that has the same finish as the bullets I recently found but I have no idea what it is.
The tag is inscribed with ACME and a number on the other side.

Bo
